What Car Is Perfect For Colorado?

Is it even a car? Maybe it's a truck. Either way, what's the most Colorado way to get around?

Why do I ask, you say? Because I'm tired of hearing that the best-selling vehicle for nearly every state is the Ford F-Series. I'm more interested in what the best vehicle for the state should be.

Also, if you think the most Colorado vehicle happens to be the F-Series, then by all means put it down.

And as always...

Choose wisely!

Subaru Outback/Forester. The next state should be Tennessee

I've heard that Colorado is the US state with the geography that looks the most like Norway. Snow and hills make the Subaru Outback a perfect car.

I'm pretty sure everyone in Colorado drives an Outback.

Being born and raised in Colorado, the most Colorado car is a beat up old Subaru with a very nice bike on top of it. You can replace bike with very nice anything (kayak, skis, snowboard etc.)

Kinja'd!!!

For the most part, Colorado doesn't have a very large car culture. The weather is mostly to blame, but being an out-doorsy group of people is equal to blame.

We have some fantastic driving roads for those of us that are enthusiasts though!

Really the answer is ; Subaru, of any kind. If you go cruising in Fort Collins on a Friday night, you'll see 1-3 of a certain car, and 5-12 Sti's.

Definitely Outback. But the cars you're most likely to find in Colorado include the E30 BMW 325iX and various old Audis. I swear there are certain old Audis that only exist in Colorado.

Actually, this is the reason I got a 350Z and not a Sti, everyone here has a Subaru, and I wanted to be different. Also, rwd :)

I was going to nominate the subaru GL/Loayale/Leone or XT-6, but I did buy an Audi Coupe Quattro in Denver in decent stock shape for only $1500. Finding one that hasn't been wrapped around a pole or had many dollars spent on modifying it is nearly impossible anywhere else. I've also seen quite a few of the 5000 turbo wagons with the amazing locking differentials all over the drivetrain. So, even though they aren't the most common, I think the car that should be the most common in Colorado is the 4000CS:

Having never been to Colorado but only knowing that it contains both beautiful countryside and Denver, I'd say Jeep Wrangler.

Seconded. You'll never see more Subaru's in one place in your life.

However I went out and bought an 05 WRX the second I could afford it and proceeded to start throwing away money in hopes of making it fast almost immediately.

In our garage: Fiat 500, Lotus Elise, Subaru Impreza

The Fiat is great with snow tires, blasts more SUVs than switchbacks in the mountain.
